Aarogya Setu is a mobile application developed by the Government of India that connects essential health services with the people of India. It plays a crucial role in our fight against COVID-19 and has now evolved into the National Health application for serving the people of India.
The application features an intuitive User Interface and comprehensive functionalities, including the creation of ABHA (Health ID) for maintaining longitudinal digital health records, simplified consent management for sharing health records, and a seamless search feature for finding nearby hospitals, labs, and blood banks.
Key Features of Aarogya Setu:
- Creation of ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) for building and maintaining longitudinal health records in a paperless manner
- Discovery and linking of health records, consent management for sharing health records
- Integration of eRaktKosh API for real-time search of nearby blood banks and availability of blood units
- Self-assessment test based on ICMR guidelines
- Facilitates registration and download of the COVID-19 vaccine certificate
- Completely revamped User Interface and User Experience
- Open API based Health Status Check
- Updates, advisories, and best practices related to COVID-19
- Nation-wide COVID-19 statistics
- Emergency COVID-19 Helpline contacts
- List of ICMR approved Labs with COVID-19 testing facilities
- Infection status of the user
- QR code scan feature to share health status
- Support for over 12 languages
The app requires the following key permissions:
- Camera permission for scanning QR code
- Location permission for location-based services
- Media permission for downloading health records, vaccination certificates, etc.
